Afidah Ab Aziz SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CUSTOMS ROYAL MALAYSIAN CUSTOMS DEPARTMENT
Afidah Binti Ab Aziz is currently the Senior Assistant Director of Customs II, AEO Secretariat, Trade Facilitation and Industry Branch, Headquarters Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD). She joined RMCD in 2009.
She obtained a Masters in Public Finance from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan in 2013 and BA (Hons) Business Studies from University of East London graduated in 2005.
She was appointed as the Senior Assistant Director of Customs II, AEO Unit, Trade Facilitation and Industry Branch, Headquarters in February 2021 and are responsible to manage and supervise the AEO Implementation.
Main task and responsibilities:
1. Develop policy and procedures related to AEO Implementation in Malaysia
according to SAFE FoS.
2. Review AEO application and conduct the validation audit.
3. Speaker/Trainer for sharing on AEO to Customs State Office, other government
agencies and industry.
4. Involved in the negotiation of Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on AEO.
She also participated in the AEO Expert Mission in Hong Kong represent Malaysia
end of November 2023 and been awarded WCO Certificate of Merit 2024.
