Mr. Samson URIDIA has been the Head of the Department of International Relations at the Revenue Service, Ministry of Finance of Georgia since April 2010. He oversees relationships with global tax, customs, and SPS organizations. Beginning his public service in 1997, he progressed through various roles until becoming Deputy Head of the Customs Control Division in 2005. Notable achievements include securing the Revenue Service's membership in international tax bodies like the OECD Forum of Tax Administrations and BRITACOM. Mr. URIDIA also represented Georgia in the World Customs Organization and within the Executive Council of IOTA, where Georgia presided during the 2022/2023 term. He played a key role in modernizing Georgia's Customs Administration by updating customs codes, fostering partnerships, and aligning legislation with EU standards. Additionally, he chairs the Customs Subcommittee as per the Association Agreement between EU and Georgia.
