Ms Yasmeen Elahi leads the UK’s AEO Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) programme with responsibility for negotiation, implementation, and management of current and future MRAs as well as developing and enhancing supporting policies, legal texts, and legislation. In a post EU-exit landscape, Yasmeen has established an ambitious programme of new partnerships securing the UK’s first independent MRAs with New Zealand and Singapore. Previous roles have focused on trade facilitation and customs compliance across a range of UK Government Departments over the last ten years. Prior to joining the UK Civil Service she studied International Relations at Aberystwyth University.
