Duck-Gi KIM Head of AEO CenterKorea Customs Service

Head of AEO Center, Audit Policy and Compliance Division, Audit and Revenue Bureau, Korea Customs Service. Duckgi Kim is Head of AEO, Korea Customs Service (KCS). He is in charge of Korean AEO program policy, legislations, its national operation, and negotiation of AEO MRAs internationally. Mr. Kim has a keen interest in exploring various AEO benefits by researching and analyzing AEO program in different countries to motivate companies to voluntarily participate in the program. He also is interested in the establishment of infrastructure to improve the efficiency of AEO MRA implementation and enhance the confidentiality of business information. In 2015, Mr. Kim received the Presidential Award for his contribution to the prevention of revenue losses by establishing a system that enables the real-time exchange of information on tax delinquency & refunds between Korea Customs Service and National Tax Service. He also won the first prize in the Contest of Customs Valuation Research Paper for his research on the taxation method of royalties in 2019.
