Stream B2: Can AEO Programmes Support Environmental Sustainability and Social Responsibility in Global Trade?

Annotation:

This stream will investigate the role of AEOs in green supply chains and their social responsibility practices. This plenary will scrutinize the ways in which AEO initiatives can champion eco-friendly business practices and ethical trade standards, underscoring their potential to build  “fast tracks” and “green lanes” for sustainable trade, based on AEO concept. Moreover, the session will emphasize the critical role of cooperation between Customs and the other agencies involved in achieving these objectives, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts to align their security programmes  for a more effective risk management and a more environmentally and socially responsible global trade landscape.
